It seems as though my PS4 Pro can download things faster over my wifi compared to it being hard wired in. I've tried a different Ethernet (cat5e) cable and still no difference. I have a mbps down and on Ethernet I get , wifi I get I have other devices also wired into the switch and they both get every time. So to summarise then it appears that lowering MTU settings does not appear to be beneficial in improving download speeds or reducing lag on the PS4.
